Technical Specifications

Typical applications:

Letter and shapes that are too small (or contain strokes that are too narrow) to be illuminated by traditional methods (ie. neon) without distortion.
Unique designs where a combination of face, sides, edges and/or back require illumination.
Signage that requires low voltage to conserve energy.

Depth and Stroke:
1 3/16" (30mm) standard depth
5/8" standard minimum stroke (can be smaller depending on letter height.)
Electrical Requirements:
Signature LEDs™ use up to 60% less electricity than neon.
The power supply is a 60 watt, 24 volt transformer that is hard wired to a 120 primary power source (can be wired to a 277 primary power source using a step down transformer.) The box is 7" x 7" x 18", although a much smaller 7" x 7" x 3 1/2" box is currently pending UL approval.
Each transformer will illuminate 600 LEDs, about seven 10" tall letters.
Installation:
Letters are pin mounted and snap to the wall similar to the way acrylic lettersets are installed. Each letter emits one wire, which runs through a 5/8" hole drilled in the mounting surface (usually a wall), and snaps to the transformer wire.
Letters may be installed as far as 30 feet from the transformer.
Colors:
Signature LEDs™ come in white, blue, red, green, and amber.
Translucent vinyl, acrylic, or paint is used in conjunction with white or colored LEDs to acheive any color.
